FAQ – Wedding Dress Alterations

We recommend having your first fitting 6-8 weeks before your wedding day. This gives us plenty of time to complete the alterations, and have it ready for you to collect 2 weeks before the big day. We highly recommend booking well in advance, especially during the peak wedding season.

How long does it take to get my dress altered

What do i need to bring with me to my fittings?

It's really important to have the shoes you are going to have on the wedding day, as well as the underwear/shapewear.

We also suggest thinking carefully about who you want to bring with you. We suggest bringing only 1 guest, as the appointment can be quite overwhelming, as we ask you a lot of detailed questions.

How much do alterations cost?

It is impossible to price alterations over email or a phone call, as the price is based off the construction of the gown, and what is needing to be altered. We do advise brides to budget between $400 - $1000 for alterations. We do offer a 30minute quoting consultation which is free of charge.

My dress is second hand, can you alter it?

Yes! We are able to alter any gown, from any store/deisgner. Secondhand, sample or an online purchase!

I am trying to loose weight for my wedding - what do i do?

This is a very normal thing, and we are very use to dealing with it! The important thing to know, is that you need to be at a steady weight by your first fitting, which is 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day. So try hard to only maintain after this fitting.

But if it is an extreme case or pregancy, please talk to us! We will be able to figure out what will work best for you and your dress!
